1. It’s hard to take a selfie from the base of the Eiffel Tower and capture its entirety. Here, I fail at both.

2. My “baby” brother is significantly more adept at using his smartphone on this trip, and wouldn’t be caught dead updating a blog. And to think I helped him create his first email address…

3. The government of the city of Paris is awesome (for us at least), making all metro and commuter rail lines free for a few days to promote pollution awareness.

4. In an alternative digital life, I’ve definitely assassinated someone from this rooftop.

5. While it’s painfully obvious that it’s not my first (English) or second (Matlab) language, I can carry out a decent conversation in French.

6. Even outside the Commonwealth, we make time for cricket during the World Cup.

7. Souvenirs are tricky sometimes.

8. I miss my sister and can’t wait to hang out with her again this Wednesday!
